I was under the impression it also was a lift. I'm not really very pleased at all, I have a difficult time getting up from the chair.

NOT a Chair for a back patient!!!

I bought this chair for my wife which is a back patient. She had a cervical spine injury resulting in a cage to her cervical spine and lumbar spine. She has R sided paralysis. After it arrived (3 weeks!), she could not sit in it for more than 5 mins! There was pressure to her back, neck, and legs. Her legs dangled on the chair. It was also very difficult to get in and out of the chair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHAIR FOR BACK PATIENTS!!! Also, you will be out of a great deal of money! The charge 15% for inspecting and repackaging! Additionally, you pay for the shipment return! We saved for this chair! We will still owe close to $800 for just returning it! Insane! comfortable but tricky to assemble

Comfortable chair. I've not received my laptop holder yet so don't know whether I'll be able to do work in gravity position. I have to say the assembly was tricky, mostly the ten screws that have to be inserted. They are badly placed and it is very, very easy for a screw to fall into the fabric and get lost. Luckily, I have a small hand so I was able to retrieve them, but anyone with a large hand had better be careful. Also, the screws to attach the handholds were tricky: the openings are poorly drilled out and again it's easy to lose a screw in the hollowness of the armrest. Be careful.
